Liverpool's first ever vegan festival took place on
on Saturday November 20th. It was a follow-up to the Manchester festival earlier this year, and other
successful vegan festivals around the country. The festival was the brainchild of MAR member
Katy Brown, who worked very hard to organise everything. We are now hoping to make
the Liverpool Vegan Festival an annual event. Keep watching this site for further information.
Thanks are in order to Katy and to everyone else who organised and contributed to the day, which
was a great success.
Available at the festival was locally made vegan food &
cosmetics, Organic & fairtrade produce available from Windmill
Wholefoods, The World Shop, Vegonia Wholefoods, Amandas Cake Stall,
Scouseveg, Celio Pig, Laura's Holistics, The World Shop, Smithfield
Wines. (Makers of vegan wines)
A creche was provided by the
Woodcraft Folk, and there was
a raffle to win a hamper of food
provided by Unicorn Foods.
